With a mission of changing lives for the better, forever, Big Brothers Big Sisters will receive $71,275 from the sixth annual Crew for Kids fundraiser.
Big Brothers Big Sisters received half the proceeds of every Ultimate wash, a $19 value, and Works wash, a $15 value, sold on August 22, 2015. The event took place at 24 Crew Carwash locations, supporting four different Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies, including those in Indianapolis, Columbus, Lafayette and Terre Haute.
Proceeds from the one-day event, which raised over $30,000 more than 2014, will help offset the cost of programming for one-to-one youth mentoring and bring positive change to children facing adversity in the communities where the fundraisers were held.
“We couldn’t be more proud of the work Big Brothers Big Sisters accomplishes. Thanks to our partnership with them, we’re able to help create more opportunities for kids to achieve their aspirations and believe in themselves,” said Crew Carwash CEO Bill Dahm. “Our customers’ support helps make it happen, and we’re deeply gratified.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides youth with enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 relationships that focus on three targeted areas related to high school graduation and lifelong success: avoidance of risky behaviors, socio-emotional competency, and educational success.
