Crew Carwash Partnering with Riley Children’s Foundation
Carwash to accept donations for Riley Maternity and Newborn Health program
INDIANAPOLIS (May 05, 2017) – Crew Carwash, a long-standing Hoosier-based carwash establishment, is partnering with Riley Children’s Foundation for its second annual fundraiser.
As part of its “Shine for Riley” campaign, Crew is offering a FREE Tire Shine service to any customer who makes a donation of any kind on Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14. Crew will be accepting credit card and cash donations at all 30 Crew Carwash locations and will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to Riley Children’s Foundation. Funds raised will benefit the Riley Maternity and Newborn Health program, which offers a full spectrum of prenatal, obstetric and postnatal care for at-risk pregnancies.
Riley Children’s Health is serving in this statewide initiative aimed at greatly reducing Indiana’s infant mortality rate. Indiana has 7.3 infant deaths per 1,000 live births—the 10th highest rate in the nation—and only 65 percent of pregnant mothers in Indiana receive prenatal care during the first trimester.
“Giving back to our local communities is something we take a lot of pride in and also a mission that we take very seriously at Crew,” said Sally Grant, executive vice president of Crew Carwash. “The well-being of expectant mothers and their babies is an extremely important issue and we are honored to once again partner with Riley Children’s Foundation and raise money for this program.”
In its inaugural fundraiser for Riley Children’s Foundation in 2016, Crew raised $31,563 to help fund the recruitment of leading experts to provide mothers and babies comprehensive care at Riley. Today, Riley has eight maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists. Donor funding will help recruit up to 12 MFM physicians.

Crew and Riley are hosting a kick-off event at Crew’s downtown Indianapolis location at 1219 N. Meridian St., Saturday, May 13 at 7 a.m. EDT. Riley families will be on-site to meet with customers and help spray down cars as they enter the carwash.
