Crew Carwash Raises $27,000 for Gillette Children’s in Minnesota
MINNESOTA (May 9, 2024) – Crew Carwash announced today that it is donating $27,000 to Gillette Children’s in Minnesota.
During a special two-day fundraising event, Crew Carwash provided a free Ultimate Wash (a $22 value), with any donation to Gillette Children’s. The event took place on Friday, April 12, through Saturday, April 13, at all four Minnesota locations including St. Cloud, Maple Grove, Wayzata and West St. Paul. Crew accepted cash and credit donations, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting Gillette Children’s.
Thanks to the generosity of the Minnesota communities, the initiative resulted in a total of $27,000 to be donated to Gillette Children’s, a St. Paul-based hospital serving as a global beacon of care for patients with brain, bone, and movement conditions that start in childhood.
“Crew Carwash is an excellent community partner giving two full days of revenue in their Minnesota locations to impact the lives of Gillette Children’s patients and their families,” said Stephen Bariteau, Executive Vice President of Gillette. “Because of their generosity, $27,000 helps Gillette patients write their own story. We are grateful for this important partnership.”
Gillette Children’s, founded in 1897, was the nation’s first public hospital for children who have disabilities. The nonprofit organization serves over 25,000 patients each year with the hospital, four clinics in the Twin Cities, and additional clinics throughout greater Minnesota. Gillette Children’s will use these funds to support a variety of initiatives, including 14 different research emphasis areas supporting 140 active research projects. Fundraised dollars also support the Gillette Assistance Program, allowing Gillette to provide the best possible care to all patients without the burden of financial cost.
