Mike’s Carwash to Donate $11,000

Mike’s Carwash will donate $11,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ohio Valley and the EVSC Foundation to support local
one-to-one youth mentoring and educational programming.

The money was raised January 18-19 during Mike’s Grand Opening Charity weekend when customers were given a free Works wash.  In lieu of payment for the carwash, a $15 value, customers could choose to make a donation to support these non-profit organizations.  Close to 4000 Works washes were provided over the two-day period.

“We are so pleased that so many people came out and gave generously during this event.  The money will go directly to support local mentoring programs that start success stories in our community,” says BBBS Executive Director Anna Hargis.

Mike’s opened its state-of-the-art facility in Evansville in October, 2012.
