Where do you get such great people?

This is the number one comment we hear. We get hundreds of letters, emails, and phone calls each year from customers who rave about the great people and service they experience at Crew Carwash. We feel that this begins in our hiring and is enhanced by great training and incentives. We are notoriously picky when it comes to hiring. In fact, for every 25 people we consider for our team, we hire just one. Our crew participates in hours of “on-site” and classroom training that helps them develop the skills, knowledge, and attitude that inspire great service to our customers. Lastly, all of our team members have the opportunity to earn recognition and extra pay in our various incentive programs. We offer a monthly team bonus, cash incentives and rewards for great customer service, as well as recognition banquets, which highlight and reward the “best of the best” each year.

Why won’t your employees accept tips?

We feel strongly that anything we do for you at Crew Carwash is included in the price you pay. While we appreciate the gesture, please don’t be offended if we decline your offer. Our team members are recognized and rewarded when you send an email or complete a comment card about them. Our crew also recognizes, thanks to their various incentive programs, that anything they can do to keep you coming back rewards them in the long run.

Can you wash my vehicle?

We’ve worked hard at providing our customers with the best carwash technology available to give them a clean, dry, shiny vehicle, and the peace of mind that their vehicle will not be harmed in any way in the process. In fact, in many ways, washing your vehicle at Crew is safer than washing it at home by hand.  We do have some Vehicle Restrictions on what we can and can’t safely wash.

Are you open during the extreme cold in the winter?

Yes. We rarely close. In fact, winter is our busiest time of the year. We heat our water and use warm air in our dryers, so the temperature inside our wash is usually in the 80-degree range. Outside, we have floor heat in most of our customer areas. This special tubing under the concrete helps melt snow and ice.

Is it safe to wash my vehicle when it’s cold outside?

As we all know, water freezes at 32 degrees. Anytime the temperature falls below this you run the risk of things freezing. But, there are a few simple things you can do to help prevent freezing when it’s cold: First, spray lock deicer in your locks after you exit the wash. Second, put your key in every lock and turn it back and forth a number of times. This helps to displace any water that might be present. Third, take the time to dry off your door jambs.

Do I get a quality wash when you’re really busy?

The technology we use allows us to give you the same quality of carwash, regardless of how busy we are.

How do you get the vehicle so dry if no one is drying the vehicle as it exits?

The dryer system we use is proprietary, and made exclusively for Crew Carwash. We feature 16 of these specially designed dryers at each location. Also, we heat much of the air coming from our dryers, which helps to evaporate the water from the vehicle. Our water is even treated so that it will evaporate or roll off the vehicle more easily.

Do you sell franchises, or are you a ’publicly held’ company?

The short answer to both is no. We are a family owned company, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. We feel strongly that remaining a family owned business allows us to maintain the service and quality we’ve become famous for. We have no plans to franchise or go public.

How much water do you use? Is it environmentally friendly to go to Crew Carwash?

Compared to the average amount of fresh water a person might use when washing his or her vehicle in the driveway with a hose, we only use about 1/3 of that amount of water (150 gallons in the driveway vs 55 gallons at Crew). Also, Crew Carwash locations have varying levels of water reclamation systems that allow us to filter, clean and re-use some of the water used in our wash process. What’s more, at all locations, used water runs directly to a unique collection system that filters the water and removes harmful sediments and oil before it reaches local sewers. Providing a clean, dry and shiny car for all of our customers while also trying to do our part to conserve natural resources such as water is extremely important to us.

What’s with all of the stuffed animals?

Years ago, our founders were looking for a way to ease the anxiety many children experience when going through an automatic carwash. The stuffed animals were a way to distract the children and help ease their fears. Today, they are a staple of the Crew Carwash experience. We spend thousands of dollars each month purchasing new stuffed animals and spend hours trying to come up with creative ways to display them in our washes.

Unlimited Club FAQs

Do I need my unlimited tag number to cancel my plan or update my credit card on file?

Yes. Your unlimited tag number can be found under the barcode located on the windshield of your vehicle. If you are unable to find this number, please contact customer support at 317-572-9299.

How long does it take for my plan to be cancelled?

After letting us know that you would like to cancel your plan, your plan will continue to be active until your next billing date. You may continue to wash your car during this time.

I have a new vehicle. How do I transfer my pass to another vehicle?

If you have your pass number, please visit any Crew Carwash location to transfer a new pass to a different vehicle. If you need your pass number, please call us at 317-572-9299.

I need a receipt for the monthly charges to get reimbursed from my employer. Can I get a receipt sent to me each month?

Unlimited Terms & Conditions

  • All unlimited packages and plans are a monthly automatic recharge subscription. The credit/debit card on file will be charged every month. This monthly charge will typically take place on the enrollment date, but occasionally the charge may process a day early or a day late. Crew Carwash will automatically retry failed payments periodically over the course of your billing cycle to help you get back to enjoying the service.
  • Promotional offers are valid one time per account. If an account is re-enrolled at the promotional rate, it will not be guaranteed an additional 60 days of promotional pricing and regular rates will apply.
  • Introductory pricing is guaranteed for 2 months from the date you sign up. After your 2nd charge at the special introductory rate, your monthly charge will increase to our regularly advertised price for the plan you have selected.
  • Unlimited Club membership is an automatic recharge program that will remain in effect until you give cancellation notification at 317-572-9299. Cancellation requests must be made by phone or by submitting a request online at least 24 hours before your monthly billing date.
  • Customer Support hours are Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm EST and Saturday 8 am – 4 pm EST.
  • No refunds will be given for mid-month cancellations or for billing cycles with no wash usage.
  • Crew Carwash may terminate plan anytime if the charge is declined in the credit card processing system.
  • Monthly rate may increase without individual member notification from Crew Carwash. However, passive notification of any increases to our regularly advertised plan pricing will be posted at all locations 30 days or more in advance of the price increase taking effect.
  • Unlimited passes are good for one vehicle only and must remain securely adhered to the interior bottom of the front windshield on the driver’s side.
  • Vehicle must meet Crew safety guidelines. Enrollment does not guarantee that these guidelines have been satisfied.
  • Crew Carwash reserves the right to terminate unlimited accounts at any time for abuse and/or safety concerns. When flagged for abuse or safety, cancellations may take place with or without notice.
  • Crew Carwash reserves the right to modify or cancel this program and the membership at any time.
  • Crew Carwash reserves the right to close locations due to inclement weather, holidays, equipment maintenance, and upgrades.
  • By providing your email or phone number, you agree to be contacted by Crew to help manage your account and provide you with important updates regarding services and promotions provided by Crew.
  • Cash or Crew Gift Cards cannot be accepted for automatic recharge plans. Frequent washers who want to pay cash can purchase a 6 month Unlimited pass.
  • Program activation is available only through Crew Carwash location(s). Reactivation can be done at the carwash location or by calling the Customer Support Team.
  • Unlimited Club Memberships are not for use on dealership owned vehicles.
  • An agreement to the terms and conditions must be signed at the time the account is opened.
  • Enrollment into the Crew Carwash Unlimited Club is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.

What if I change my mind after I submit my cancellation request?

You will need to stop by a location to reactivate your plan or contact customer support at 317-572-9299.

Will I receive a refund after cancelling my plan?

No, you will not receive a refund. Your plan remains active until your next billing date.

Will I receive an email confirmation after I change my credit card?

Yes, you will receive an email confirmation after you submit your request online.

How does the Transparency in Coverage Rule impact me?

Effective July 1, 2022, Crew Carwash is required to meet the Transparency in Coverage Rule. This rule requires group health plans to disclose detailed pricing and cost comparison tools that participants may utilize prior to receiving healthcare services. UnitedHealthcare, UMR and HealthScope Benefits has created and published this information on behalf of Crew Carwash, Inc. Starting July 1, the items linked here will provide you with personalized access to cost-sharing information. The intent of these tools is to empower you as a healthcare consumer to shop and compare costs between specific providers prior to receiving care.
